X Information and Promotion Meeting
Gdynia, March 14th, 2019
After the conclusion of the 9th General Meeting, the Xth Information and
Promotion Meeting was began - the event is organized on a quarterly, the
main objective being to promote PSMA’s activities, exchange experience and
develop relations between economic entities and people active in various
branches of the maritime economy.
During the last General Meeting new Members of the Management Board
were appointed (Dariusz Jellonnek became President, Michal Czerepaniak
remained as Board Member with Cezary Łuczywek, Arkadiusz Gronowski
and Andrzej Pilarski joining the Management Board) and the Council of the
Association was appointed - the advisory body of the Association,
composed of: legal counsel Michał Rzeszewicz, Sławomir Kalicki, Piotr
Masny, Cpt. Waldemar Perchel, Cpt. Tadeusz Hatalski, Dr. Katarzyna
Skrzeszewska, prof. UMG Bogumił Łączyński, Lechosław Bar and attorney
at law Bartosz Biechowski.
The meeting was opened by the Honorary President of the Polish Ship
Managers Association - Mr. Ireneusz Kuligowski.
During the meeting, the first President of the Board, Ireneusz Kuligowski,
was honored for the great contribution to the development of Polish ship
management and 52 years of active and extremely fruitful professional
work. The action plan for the year 2019-2020 was presented as well as
Association's leading achievements in 2018.
The first presentation of the evening was given by the newly elected
member of the Management Board and a member of the Maritime Law
Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences - Cpt. Cezary Łuczywek who
presented the position of a ship manager in Polish law.
Then, Special Guest of IPM - Mrs. Katarzyna Pilczuk presented the offer of
Prudential in the field of personal insurance.
The last presentation was given by PSMA’s newest Supporting Members -
Mr. Kamil Sajek and Mrs. Sylwia Czechura from MAEM sp. z.o.o.. This
company, starting as a small plant, is now one of the leading suppliers of
spare parts for products of such companies as Alfa Laval, Desmi, Kral and
Allweiler.
During the meeting, few minutes were also devoted to the next IPM planned
for the second half of May, during which the representatives of the
insurance company Georg Duncker from Hamburg - Mr. Wolfgang Reiss and
Mr. Moritz Sandkuehler - announced the basic tenets of their Special Guest
Presentation.
The meeting ended with dinner and networking.
